Private Hire Terms & Conditions

1) Booking

1.1) You must allow sufficient time when booking your vehicle to allow for the check in times required by your airline and for any potential delays caused by traffic conditions. Discover Dorset Ltd will not take responsibility for any delays caused by failure to allow enough time to reach the destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.

1.2) If luggage space is required then please specify at the time of booking.

1.3) If a wheelchair needs to be transported then please specify at the time of booking.

2) Payment

2.1) Discover Dorset Ltd will email you a quotation based on the information supplied by the enquirer. Discover Dorset Ltd may amend the quotation if any changes are made to the original itinerary or the number of passengers.

2.2) Upon confirmation of the quote, an invoice will be sent for the full amount.

2.3) All bookings must be prepaid in full 14 days before the date of travel.

2.4) We understand and will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment Legislation, if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms as stated on our sales invoice.

3) Cancellation

3.1) Please notify Discover Dorset Ltd of any cancellations as soon as possible.

3.2) Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the date of travel will be fully refunded.

3.3) Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the date of travel will not be refunded.

3.4) Discover Dorset Ltd has the right to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national declared emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or other circumstances beyond its control.

4) Liability

4.1) Discover Dorset Ltd will endeavour to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due or delays caused by vehicle breakdown or road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey.

4.2) Discover Dorset Ltd will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profits or business.

4.3) If there is a vehicle breakdown or problem, Discover Dorset Ltd will endeavour to arrange alternative transport to complete the journey as soon as practicable.

4.4) Any loss, damage, costs or expenses caused by any act or omission by the passenger(s) will be reimbursed to Discover Dorset Ltd.
